Two Qualities of Investors

January 10, 2018

Investing isn't necessarily easy, but it's not particularly hard either. A good investor has many characteristics.  Let's focus on two.

(1) A good investor has developed a keen sense of emotional intelligence. Investors are disciplined. They budget their finances and always put money away. They have financial goals and they work hard to achieve them. Investors are focused and don't act emotionally.

Take away: Develop your discipline.

Tip: Take 10% of your check and invest it.

(2) A good investor invests in their own education. Every single day they seek out learning opportunities. They learn about stocks, bonds, options and more. Investing is not just a passive game. An investor must be engaged. They use their broad eduction to evaluate investments.

Take away: Always learn

Tip: Spend 20 minutes a day educating yourself.
